Background
Early years
Vincent Wang was born in Xinjiang, located in the North West of China.
At only aged 6, he was selected by the province’s martial arts school to live, train and compete in Wushu, otherwise known as Kung Fu. He trained until aged 18, where he was then accepted into the Shanghai University of Sports. This was where he gained his degree to become a national Wushu coach.
In 1991, Vincent was invited to the United Kingdom to teach martial arts.
This was when he started coaching Tai Chi, Chi Gong, and Wushu.
Becoming a stuntman
Vincent’s career as a stunt performer starts as early as 1996, where he auditions for a role as a stunt performer in Mortal Kombat. However, Vincent qualified as a stunt performer in 1998, proudly having his name established in the British Stunt Register, which is the largest association of stunt professionals based within the United Kingdom.
From this point on, Vincent’s expertise and experience from his childhood training in Wushu, to becoming a qualified stunt performer has shone through, accumulating a career spanning across 25 years. Vincent has earned the titles in many Hollywood and independent films as Action Director, Stunt Coordinator, Fight Coordinator and Fight Trainer.
